Message Delivery Cannot be Guaranteed

Note4Me relies on the integration and operation of a large number of systems and devices that are out of your control, our control and our member's control. As such, none of us can be responsible or liable for any piece of the system not working. Neither can any of us hold any responsibility or liability for messages that do not make it through. If your message is of such critical importance that you need to know that it went through with verifiable certainty, then you should use a system that can guarantee that level of reliability.

With that said, there are things that you can do to make sure that your Note is delivered and understood.

Verify that you have the correct member

Each member should have a Key Identifier so that you can make sure you are sending a Note to the correct Tom Smith. Please be sure that you click on the correct person.

Keep it Brief

Most services limit the length of Notes being sent to around 100 characters for digital phones and somewhat more for alpha-numeric pagers. It is best if you keep your Note to around 80 characters as some of that limit is used in transmitting your name and call back number. Even if you cannot keep your message to this length, make sure that you put the most important information in the clearest, unambiguous language in the first sentence.

Your Name field

If you don't give your name, the member won't know from whom the Note is coming. If you abbreviate your name in any way, make sure that it is an abbreviation that the member will recognize.

Your Phone Number field

Many of our members have services and devices that allow the "call back" number to be dialed with the press of a single button on their phone. Even if you are sure that the member knows your phone number, it would be convenient for them if you provided it for one-touch call back. Of course if you are absolutely certain that the member has your phone number or you don't need a call back, leaving this field blank leaves more space for your Note.
